Welcome to IndTech 2020
Industrial technologies play a key role in the European industry. They provide essential foundations for the competitiveness of the European Union, shape all sectors of the economy and contribute to the solution of societal challenges and a sustainable future.
The conference “Industrial Technologies 2020 – Transition to Sustainable Prosperity”, will be held in the Materials Valley under the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union and is organized by
- the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)
- Project Management Jülich (PtJ)
- the European Commission,
- the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Rhineland-Palatinate – Saarland and
- the German Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology DECHEMA e.V.
This event provides a platform for stakeholders from research organisations, industry and policy making to discuss future trends, technological challenges und further steps to shape and strengthen European industrial and research policy in the field of key enabling technologies such as nanotechnologies, advanced materials, biotechnology and advanced manufacturing under the considerations of socially fair transition to a sustainable and green economy.
Furthermore, the impacts and positive effects by 2030 and 2050 of the presented technologies and processes on the climate change will be considered and discussed. An integrated brokerage event will also be held in order to support conference participants looking for prospective partners for the first calls in industrial technologies within the European Union’s “Horizon Europe” research and innovation programme.
